magnesium lab

1.mass the crucible and then zero the balance with the crucible on it
2.take a small bit of magnesium and put it in the crucible
3.write down the mass and then put the crucilbe on the tripod
4.put the lid on the crucible, wait a few minutes to see if the magnesium will light
if it doesn't take the lid off and wait a few more minutes. If it doesn't light by then, take the magnesium out and light it by hand( not literally).
